Dance to the beat of your dreams! It’s time to be free, be creative and have fun! In Dance class, our students will learn to let their talents shine by playing different roles, learning new tricks and creating and learning their very own choreography. The final dance will be presented to family members and friends.

Teachers can truly change lives. Here is Jielin Liu, one of our multitalented - multilingual teachers! Jielin holds a Bachelor's in Anthropology and Linguistics from McGill, and a Certificate in Teaching Chinese Language, Certificate in Connecting Legal Services to Interpretation for Interpreters and a Certificat de Perfectionnement en Français Langue Seconde and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management. Since 2013, Jielin has been teaching Mandarin for learners of all ages. She is also a translator, project manager, and student counselor. Jielin will be teaching our Mandarin class for our 2020 Weekend Program.

Teachers enlighten the path of success for all of us. Here is Maria Dimitropoulos, one of our incredible teachers! Maria holds a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor's Degree in Science from McGill University. She has gained experience in teaching IB and students with learning disabilities. With experience as a laboratory technician and being a wizard in mathematics, Maria will be leading our Science and Mathematics classes for our 2020 Weekend Program.

Design, Create, Build is the perfect program to dive into the world of engineering. Learners will be introduced to the design process as they overcome a variety of challenges and build solutions to problems. From creating proper plans to working within the constraints of a project, this introductory activity will give learners the tools they need to create amazing products and inventions.

What is the difference between "then" and "than"? Between "two" and "too"? In our English class, our students will be given the key language tips in the English language. Tutoring in writing, reading and speaking, our students will leave this course with heightened English skills. Starting on September 15 and running for 14 weeks!

The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery. Here is Mary Standjofksi, an accomplished teacher who holds a Master degree in Fine Arts from Dundee University, Scotland, and a Bachelor in Fine Arts from Concordia University, Mary has twenty years of teaching experience at private institutions, CEGEP and University level. Mary teaches a diverse combination of 2D techniques and practices, from drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, digital imaging/design, interior design, technical drawing, and bookbinding. Mary will be leading our Pinhole Photography and Design, Create, Build courses for our 2020 Weekend Program.

Not all superheroes have capes, some have Teaching Degrees! Here is Dana McDonald, a great teacher who holds a Bachelors's in Elementary Education from McGill University. For the past ten years, Dana has been working with children from ages 2 to 15, where she has taught English, French, math, reading, and speaking. She has also provided support for students with learning, physical, medical and mental health disabilities. And since 2004, Dana has been a competitive and recreational gymnastics instructor and animator choreographer! Dana will be leading the English and Dance classes during our 2020 Weekend Program.

Why is math important? What are numbers? What, how and where are mathematical concepts useful? This course is a math tutorial that will open our students’ minds to the world of mathematics. A sense of wonder and curiosity will awaken, as our students explore mathematics.

SURPRISE! Imagination and Discovery Expo will be rolling out a new Weekend Program in 2020!

Every Sunday, our students will have the opportunity to take part in courses that will push their creativity, expand their knowledge and provide them the platform to become citizens of the world!

Seven classes will be offered: Chinese, English, Science, Mathematics, Dance, Pinhole Photography and Design, Create, Build. Led by highly skilled teachers, our students will have the opportunity to become their best selves.
