📣 Important Update for Our Britt Public School Community

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,

We wanted to let you know that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Powwow scheduled for Friday, May 22 will need to be postponed. We understand many of you were looking forward to this special event, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

The good news is that we are working on rescheduling the celebration for a date in June! We will share the new date, along with event details and schedule, as soon as everything is confirmed.

Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and ongoing support of our school community—we truly appreciate it.
We look forward to celebrating together very soon!

🎉 Britt School Unity Gathering Powwow 🎉

We are excited to announce the return of a cherished Britt School tradition — our Unity Gathering Powwow! 💛

This special event has been a long-honoured part of our school community, bringing students, families, and community members together in celebration of culture, connection, and unity. Like many traditions, it was paused during COVID, and we are truly thrilled to be bringing it back for the first time since then.

✨ Everyone is welcome to attend!

Come join us as we celebrate, learn, and reconnect. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the richness of Indigenous culture, support our students, and come together as a community once again.

We can’t wait to see you there as we restart this meaningful tradition! ❤️

This is a message to share that the Alouette buses serving Britt Public School are cancelled for today, Thursday, May 7th, due to flooding on 529 heading into Byng Inlet. Both Henvey Inlet and Magnetawan FN's buses are running as usual.
