Kindergarten students saw their crayon drawings come to life in Kinder Heroes, our big year-end technology project at Holy Redeemer Elementary, where I taught this spring. This collaborative project saw student volunteers from Grades 4-7 collaborate to digitize and animate superheroes created by our youngest students.

It's a vivid example of digital storytelling, a technique where students use simple coding tools to tell amazing narrative stories. Animation, sound effects and music come together in engaging stories that show what kids have learned in almost any subject area.

TECH SUMMER CAMP (ages 8-14) - SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE!

Learn game design, animation, stop motion, digital art, music and more in this innovative summer experience where kids choose their own learning adventure. Your child’s imagination is the only limit in this full-day technology camp for kids 8-14 yrs old. Our program, based at the Ottawa RA Centre, boasts a cutting-edge 21st Century learning model where small teams or individuals are given all the technological tools they need, and are set loose in our multimedia studio to work on their own creative projects in a supportive environment.

As always, all our programming is ASD/ADHD friendly.
