What a way to kick off the weekend!

I’m thrilled to share that 21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act is #1 on the Canadian nonfiction bestseller list this week, with 297 copies sold across Canada.

Seeing this book return to the bestseller list is incredibly meaningful to me. When I wrote 21 Things, my hope was to start conversations—to help people better understand the history, realities and ongoing impacts of the Indian Act.

The fact that people are still picking up the book, reading it and talking about these issues is something I’m deeply grateful for.

Thank you to everyone who has bought the book, recommended it, shared it, used it in your organization or classroom, or simply started a conversation because of it.

🎉 Exciting news!

Our book, 21 Things You Don't Know About Indigenous Self-Government: A Conversation About Dismantling the Indian Act, has been listed , by the CBC, as one of the books on 20 Books to Read on Indigenous History month and Beyond.

This is especially meaningful because the book was written to encourage informed conversations about Indigenous self-government, self-determination, and the future of Indigenous–Crown relations in Canada.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the book, shared it with others, and joined the conversation. The interest in Indigenous self-government continues to grow, and we're grateful to be part of that learning journey.

Connectivity Principle - The idea that everything is connected.

Many Indigenous communities are focused on the betterment of their community. Sometimes their problems are multi-layered and some of the problems may be required to be dealt with before your project/proposal can be considered.
