As a student in Law & Society, Culture, & Environment, Digital Media & Journalism, History, English, Youth and Children’s Studies, Human Rights & Human Diversity, Indigenous Studies or Law & Society, you are part of the Liberal Arts faculty. As your faculty association, FLASS, it is our responsibility to promote the events of your program and help to ensure all students in the faculty are being reached. Throughout the year, it is our hope to bring liberal arts students together through academics, community, and outreach.

📣On March 10th, we’re hosting a Product Design Competition at One Market L1 Lounge!

📝This is your chance to turn a single day of work into a job-ready UX portfolio piece by tackling a realistic industry case study. You’ll practice the workflows used in professional organizations and walk away with a project you can actually talk about in interviews.

🏆The Perks:

🎁 Prizes: We have over $1,500 in the prize pool up for grabs.

🎟️ Automatic Entries: Just for attending, you’ll be entered into our exclusive giveaways, even if you don’t take the top spot.

😋Free Food: We’re providing lunch for all participants.

✍️The Details:

🤨 Who: Open to all Laurier students. No prior design experience is needed to participate.

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Teams: Sign up solo or in a team of up to 4.

🕰️ When: Tuesday, March 10th | 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Students who have classes during this time can still participate.

Want to make your voice heard and help shape the future of the Faculty of Liberal Arts?

FLA is looking for student reps to join the FLA Divisional Council and its sub-committees (Admissions, Curriculum, Petitions)! 💬📚🗳️

✅ Who can apply?
Any FLA student in good academic standing!

📅 Deadline to apply:
Tuesday, Sept 2 @ 4:30PM

🗳️ Voting takes place:
Monday, Sept 15 at the first Council meeting (you’re welcome to attend!).

📌 Term Length:
2 years (Sept 2025–Aug 2027)
✨ Laurier Experience Record eligible!

💻 Meetings happen once a month on Mondays and can be virtual.
