Our annual Talent Show was a fantastic celebration of creativity and courage! Students took to the stage to showcase their incredible skills — from singing and dancing to karate demonstrations and live painting.
The audience was amazed by the wide range of talents and the confidence each performer brought to the spotlight. Events like these remind us how special it is to celebrate individuality and self-expression within our Braemar community. Bravo to all of our talented students! 🌟🎤🎨🥋

Once again the Braemar community demonstrated generosity through donations for our Food for Thought Food Drive. In Brantford there are many schools who run breakfast/lunch programs for their students (many who come to school hungry). Brant Food for Thought supplies these numerous schools with food supplies to make breakfasts/snacks. It gives these students a fighting chance to have a good day at school.
Thank you to all of our families who made donations!

🎨 Our students have been busy creating beautiful art for our Budding Artists fundraiser! 🌟
Soon, you’ll be able to order unique keepsakes featuring your child’s artwork — from mugs and coasters to cards, shirts, tote bags, and more. 💕
Stay tuned in November for your personal code to view and purchase your child’s creations. These make perfect gifts and are a wonderful way to support our school and celebrate our young artists! 🖌️✨

Our Grade 3 students are getting into the Thanksgiving spirit — in the tastiest way! 🦃🍂 They’ve been busy in the kitchen making homemade cranberry sauce for our school’s Thanksgiving Lunch this Thursday.
This hands-on cooking activity wasn’t just delicious — it was educational too! Students measured ingredients, learned about where cranberries come from, and discovered how cooking combines math, science, and teamwork. 👩🍳📏🧪
We can’t wait to enjoy their homemade creation at our Thanksgiving celebration! ❤️✨

Our Grade 5–8 students are diving into a melodic new term of music education! Grade 5s are learning to play the keyboard, Grade 6 and 8 students are strumming away on the ukulele, and our Grade 7s are mastering the guitar. 🎹🎸✨
This hands-on approach to learning music helps students develop rhythm, creativity, and confidence — and it’s an opportunity that makes Braemar truly unique! Our students get to explore real instruments and experience the joy of performing together.
We can’t wait to see all their hard work come to life at our Christmas Concert at the end of November! 🎄💫

On September 30th, Braemar House School came together as a community to recognize Orange Shirt Day, a day of reflection and learning that honours the experiences of Indigenous peoples and survivors of residential schools.
Students and staff wore orange to show their support and participated in classroom learning to better understand the history and importance of this day. Through discussions, stories, and age-appropriate lessons, students gained a deeper appreciation of the message behind Orange Shirt Day: “Every Child Matters.”
By learning and reflecting as a school, we are building awareness, empathy, and a commitment to truth and reconciliation within our community.

✈️ Our Grade 6 students are exploring the science of flight! As part of their unit, they designed and tested paper airplanes to see how lift, thrust, drag, and gravity all work together to make planes fly. Hands-on learning at its best! 🚀👏
