We decided to start our morning outside today, just in case it were to rain later on, so we took playtime & coloring to the backyard. ๐

My playmates & I had the pleasure of having the younger sibling of our new summer family come for a visit this morning. While last Friday we met the older daughter, today it was a chance to meet the almost 2 year old brother.
When his sister goes off to jk in the fall, this little guy will continue as a playmate with us.
We did some coloring & made a picture with stickers, had circle time & snack, before mom came back. Together we all went for a fun neighbourhood walk.
After saying goodbye, my playmates were ready for a short playtime while I made lunch.

Weather derailed our original park play plan this morning, so we found us a very fun indoor gym to go play.
This was my 2nd visit to the Early-On Drop-in Gym Time at the Boys & Girls Club, but that's just because it's the opposite side of the city for us. ๐
Leader Miss Kelly offers a very active, open & varied playtime & circle time.
We will be back!!๐

Fun Friday with a new friend!
With 2 playmates off today, it gave me the opportunity to invite one of our new summer friends to visit this morning for a little transition time.
While our time was short & sweet, she experienced coloring time, some learning time, playroom play & morning snack before mommy came back to pick her up.
The 2nd half of our morning was spent doing a Backyard Scavenger Hunt (check out all we found & saw) & play until lunch time.

Todays' our 2nd day of wrapping up our May Science Experiments.
Our final activity was to plant our bean seeds, as we've watched them sprout roots, a stem & leaves.
We also completed our last HWT Printing of uppercase & lowercase letters, as our next two weeks will focus on our seniors printing their names, our juniors trace & color their own names.
All 5 of playmates can recognize each others names including my 2 1/2 yr old.
So very proud of this group ๐ฅฐ

Such a fun scissor skill activity today.
After planting grass seed on May 13th & regularly watering it for weeks, it was time to cut the grass. ๐

At last our birdies' nests are dry & ready to go home today, as it was a 3 part process. Having collected some birch bark my playmates stripped off the field trees 2 weeks ago we put it aside to use for these nests.
A week later they stripped the bark into thin strips, added some colorful yarn & strips of paper & glued it all on paper plates for nests.
Friday after the zoo they added their baby birds & left everything to dry.
How cute are these!
