Another incredible week of cartwheels 🤸‍♂️huge thank you to Legacy Dance Productions @legacydance_productions in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia for hosting the Acrobatic Arts @acrobaticarts continuing education courses for dance teachers. Your hospitality was amazing, thank you so much. This week we explored side aerials, backhandpsprings, back tucks, back layouts, limbering, strength training, flexibility and unique #acrodance variations. Thank you to the #danceteachers and dancers in attendance, you were incredible. The talent was off the charts. 🩷🤸‍♂️🩵🤸‍♂️💜 And of course a special shout out to the legendary Victoria @victoriaclaire.dance for her demonstrating and cartwheel friend co-faculty Vicki @vicki.fletcher08 - I always look forward to my time with you. We are SO proud of Sophia! 💛🖤🐝

With just a few days notice to prepare 2 new solos, to flying to Houston to film, she jumped right in and embraced the whole experience. ✈️✨

We can’t wait to see it all come together when the show comes out! What a cool opportunity for Sophia — we are so proud of you!!!

Now that I have had some time to process everything, here is my 90 second recap of the BTS of the whirlwind experience I had on @abbyvscathy . With only 2 hours of rehearsals with @vicki.fletcher08 to come up with a TV competition worthy solo, and 4 days from being cast to being on a plane to Houston, I wanted to thank @lndcbrantford / @navesabonyi for being supportive from the first minute I found out, and my dance family, family and friends who made it possible for my parents and I to drop everything and chase a dream. When I was there, my amazing dance teacher FaceTimed with me several times to revise and rework my solo and wouldn’t have been able to do this without you, Vicki. I will forever be grateful to everyone who made this happen for me. I was so lucky to connect with other Canadian dancers @ellieldancer , @miss_mackenzie_p_dancer and @dancing_baylen during this experience and am thankful for the laughs, Uber Eats Jamba Juice, pool time, escape room chaos and the card games that kept us calm, cool, and collected. #foreverfriends I met so many amazing friends and got to witness some of the wildly talented dancers from all over the USA and I feel so lucky to have been able to share this experience with all of you. Fabulous second day of Summer Intensive!
Some amazing guest teachers, so much fun. Very special to see two of Lisa’s past dancers — Devyn Nekoda and Lakota Knuckle. I watched these two grow up in dance at the Simcoe studio. Lakota is now on Broadway and Devyn in TV and in movies. 💛🖤💛🖤
