Day 8 brought us to magical Falmouth and the breathtaking landscapes of Cornwall—where rugged coastlines, charming villages, and windswept beauty transported us straight into the world of Poldark. This was another private tour thoughtfully curated especially for our Poldark fans, bringing the stories, scenery, and spirit of Cornwall to life. A little history, a lot of scenery, and plenty of magic… Cornwall did not disappoint!

Day 7 onboard was a wonderful day exploring Portsmouth, where centuries of maritime history meet charming streets, beautiful views, and plenty of stories around every corner. Another memorable stop on our Trade Routes of the Middle Ages group cruise adventure!

Day 6 of our Trade Routes of the Middle Ages itinerary was spent in France! For something different, we decided to spend a memorable day exploring two of Normandy’s gems — the iconic Mont Saint-Michel and the charming historic port of Honfleur. With a small group of seasoned travellers, there was time to take in the history, scenery and local character at the perfect pace.

Day 5 of our Viking ‘Trade Routes of the Middle Ages’ cruise gave us the opportunity to join an optional excursion to Ypres, Belgium, a city with a deep World War history. Visiting sites like Tyne Cot, Passchendaele, and the Menin Gate offer a true insight into World War I history, and the vast connections to many other countries in the world.

After a relaxing day at sea onboard the Viking Neptune, we were ready to explore Amsterdam on foot (and water and wheels). From historical museums to food tours to shopping, there are endless possibilities to explore in the city!
