This week, I attended my first North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours networking event—and it exceeded my expectations. North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce

The room was full, the energy was high, and the conversations were meaningful. I connected with entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, emerging leaders, and people carrying bold ideas for the future.

One of the highlights was meeting a group of ambitious 19-year-old entrepreneurs already stepping into the marketplace and building something meaningful. Their drive was inspiring.

I also reconnected with emerging leaders who had previously attended workshops I facilitated. Seeing their growth, intentionality, and determination was incredibly rewarding.

The experience made such a strong impression that I officially became a new Chamber member.

I left with about 20 new connections, several promising conversations, and renewed excitement about growing my business throughout North Bay and Northern Ontario.

I’m looking forward to building strong relationships, continuing these conversations, and discovering how we can grow and create impact together.

I recently had the privilege of spending time with the participants of the Newcomer Entrepreneurship Program at The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc.

What a powerful room.

We focused on Taking the Next Bold Step, not just in business, but in leadership and personal growth. We unpacked Bold Leadership and explored how to create meaningful connections through intentional communication.

The energy was contagious. Conversations were rich. New relationships were formed.

More importantly, they left with clarity:

They are leaders.
They are bold.
They have what it takes to build meaningful connections, regardless of the obstacles ahead.

A special thank you to Harveen Kaur and her team for the incredible work you’re doing with newcomer entrepreneurs who carry big ideas and even bigger potential. The respect in the room spoke volumes about the investment you make in their lives.

Grateful to have been invited into this mission.

What an awesome conversation we had today! Even with the rainy weather, the energy was high. I had the pleasure of meeting with Courtney Metcalf from Almaguin Community Economic Development - ACED, and it was truly energizing to connect with someone so like-minded.

Visioning, thinking forward, and imagining what our community could look like is always a powerful experience. 2026 is shaping up to be a year full of potential and opportunity to drive growth across many areas, and I’m all in.
