What a Duck-tas-tic weekend it was!!

From building the Catch-A-Ducky event into an even greater success to the inaugural Duckfest Duck Race, this was a great weekend brought to you by the Downtown Brantford BIA.

A weekend, an event, like this does not come without the help and work of many, many people. First, the ideas, the development and the logistics came from Ben Strasser and Bernie Martin at All Day Breakfast: the Creative Agency. Without them working with the BIA then we wouldn’t see events like this.

On our side, at The Academy, we need to thank all of the students who got up there and played and sang their hearts out! Everyone of the knocked it out of the park!! Thanks to our setup crew, Beth Stamer-McAllister, Darren Sippel and Dan Taylor. Special thanks go to the band backing up the students, Sean McAllister, Darren Sippel and Nolan Cross.

On Sunday (Race Day!) thanks go to Hope Guthrie and The Greg Zaluski Band for entertaining the crowd while we watched the ducks make their way down the Grand River!

Finally, these events don’t happen without all of you who came out. Thank you to everyone who showed up, listened to the music, purchased a duck, won a prize, watched the race. Everyone of you helped to make this event the success that it was. Thank you!!!
