ocal artist Michelle Guitard. Michelle studied fine arts at Georgian College and York University where she was honored with two scholarships in both print making and painting. She has been working as a full time fine artist/painter for over 15 years with works hanging in local galleries and private collections. Michelle has been in many solo exhibitions as well as group exhibits throughout her career and continues to work in her Studio in Ancaster ON.

Spring is the perfect time to return to painting.
If you’ve been feeling the pull to create again, this workshop is for you.

This May I’m offering Bloom Boldly, a 5-day workshop focused on bold mixed-media florals.

DATES
May 25–29 (Monday–Friday)

PLEASE CHOOSE ONE SESSION

Morning
9:30 AM – 12 PM

Afternoon
1 PM – 3:30 PM

$390 + HST (13%)
All supplies included.

During the week we will explore:

• drawing fundamentals
• colour theory
• intuitive painting
• working with instinct and creative flow

Each participant will create a 16 × 20 mixed-media floral painting, layering acrylic paint with:

• soft pastels
• paint pens
• metallic accents
• decorative papers
• mixed-media textures

This workshop welcomes both beginners and experienced painters. I will guide you step-by-step while encouraging expressive mark-making and joyful colour.

Classes take place in my Art & Soul Creative Studio in the historic Old Mill building in St. George, located above a wonderful local bakery (yes… we will enjoy some of their delicious baked treats during the week).

To keep the experience supportive and personal, class sizes are intentionally small and intimate.

This summer I am opening 12 spots for painters ready to step into something larger — literally and creatively.

Open to all levels of ability.

Perhaps you have a reference photo tucked away…
The one you love. The one that stirs something. The one you’ve been quietly afraid to attempt.

Or perhaps you’ve been longing to paint from your imagination — working intuitively, layering mixed media, allowing image and symbol to emerge from within.

Landscape. Portrait. Figure. Abstraction. Memory. Dreamscape.
Whatever calls you — this is your invitation to answer it.

• A large canvas
• All supplies included
• Your own reserved easel space
• 45 hours of studio time
• Weekly critiques & supportive dialogue
• One-on-one mentorship

Students work at an easel in studio.
