Staff Appreciation Spotlight: Alyshia

This month, we’re celebrating four years of Alyshia being part of the ACSA team!

Alyshia joined the ACSA in October 2022 as our Program Coordinator, bringing with her a passion for supporting students & advocating for their needs. She also helping plan and host countless events and programs in this role.

In May 2024, Alyshia stepped into the role of Executive Director, taking on the leadership of the ACSA and continuing to grow the organization alongside an incredible team of staff, and student leaders.

Over the past four years, Alyshia has become a familiar face not only around campus. From supporting the student council and advocating for students, to helping raise money for Project Red, hosting concerts, organizing events, and finding new ways to bring students together, she is always looking for ways to make the student experience a little better.

She also takes every opportunity she can to represent the ACSA in the community and make sure people know who we are, what we do, and how we support Assiniboine students.

What stands out most about Alyshia is the amount of care and dedication she puts into everything she does. She works hard for our students, our council, and her staff. She makes sure the people around her feel supported, heard, and valued. She is always willing to jump in, take something on, and do whatever she can to make the ACSA a great place to be. Not just for our students, but for the people who work here, too.

Four years, two roles, many council members, hundreds of students, countless events, and more memories than we could possibly fit into one post.

Happy 4-year ACSA anniversary, Alyshia! We’re lucky to have you leading the way.
