Stage Notes Studio

Stage Notes Studio Stage Notes Studio is a vocal studio providing voice lessons to students of all ages. No experience necessary! I also teach some music theory in every lesson.

Stage Notes Studio has been providing voice lessons in Brandon since 2006. My name is Erin Wells and I received my Bachelor of Music, specializing in Voice Performance, from Brandon University. I use the classical techniques I learned and apply them to whatever type of music my students are interested in singing. I believe that singing should be fun, so you should sing pieces you like. As result, we learn a wide variety of styles in my studio from classical and musical theatre to R&B and country/pop. I teach about pitch, rhythm, diction, dynamics, posture, projection and, of course, breathing, the most important thing! We learn different techniques to improve each of these areas so that, as a singer, you can use them all to your advantage and sound your very best. This way my students are learning to read and understand music as they go. We have half hour, forty-five minute and one hour time slots available and these run once a week. We have two recitals a year, where everyone can show off all they’ve learned. I take on students of all ages. It is never too early or too late to try something you enjoy! “I don’t sing because I’m happy; I’m happy because I sing.” –William James. That quote says it all for me! Feel free to send me a message if you are interested in lessons or would like more information!
