It’s been a while since I’ve posted (ikikik) but that’s because I’m always taking on new and exciting ventures! I’ve never really loved to commit to one project, so I’ll share with you what I’ve been up to… 🥰

Oh ya, and I received this fancy little thing called a Master of Education. And I’m very, very proud of it… 💖 Honestly, not for the title, but because with it I know I’m responsible and excited to continue with advocating for great growth in our education SYSTEM. Because ultimately, that’s what education is, a system where a mark is a deciding factor where we may go next. *ick* Let’s keep doing the WORK, Sunshines. You’re always, always MORE THAN A NUMBER. You are capable of SO much.

Sunshines, we must shake up the system and not fear asking big questions and having big conversations, because in doing so we can work together in dismantling so much wrong towards making things somewhat right…

I wanted to remind you all, even if I’m not posting so much here, that you’re always a part of my story and I am humbled to have you “written” in pages of my book I call life. Sparkle Performing Arts is, and will always be, a huge part of my story… and I am blessed you are a part of it. 💖

Singers of all ages shared their talents with live judges and a live audience and truly SPARKLED on stage! Congratulations to you all, Singers! Wishing you all the best of luck and to truly remember to OWN your stories and what makes you special on that stage as you share your love of singing with the world! 💖

Thankful for a wonderful opportunity to speak to such talented individuals that will truly change our world. Speaking to the crowned title holders and their families of the was a humbling afternoon and full of love. It all comes down to perspectives, empathy and care, Sunshines.

THERE IS NO SECRET on the “best” public speaking… there is EMPATHY and a mission to change the world because you care about something so deeply you wish for others to learn more about it with you, too. You use your stories and share your heart with others, you will truly be unstoppable.

May the love for inspiring on forever continue and shine brightly through the whole Brampton community and more! 💖

SPARKLE FAM! …it’s been a hot minute! 💖🤭

My, oh my, I’ve missed you! I sincerely wanted to twist this post as rather than an apology for my absence, rather it be a welcoming to our newest Sparkle Family member - Mr. Teo! THAT’S RIGHT - Ms Summer is now MRS. Summer Saiegh-Mihail. ☺️

So, Sparkle Fam - let me give you a little life update - Aside from wedding planning this whole year, Mrs. Summer has been coaching plenty of talented students virtually, teaching wonderful grade 7 students, wrapping up some of her final master’s courses, beginning to furnish her new house into a home with Mr. Teo, connecting with wonderful companies to guest judge/teach, working on new projects that I’ll (eventually) share and truly making the best of all that life has to offer. 💖

I am blessed each day by God to live out this life of mine where I can continue to share my blessings and my gifts with others to inspire on.

To all the teachers out there, Happy International Teacher’s Day. 💖

There is truly no better job other than being a teacher. Hearing a student say "thank you" or even witnessing the smallest improvement in them is one of the biggest blessings in the world!

To an elementary teacher who once told me I would not make it through academic courses in high school - thanks for letting me show myself I could do all I knew I could do all along and more if I believed in myself… Though today is international teachers’ day, I encourage you to reflect on what a teacher is and how you, yourself, can be one if you believe your story and message is worth hearing. It is, I promise. ✨

Happy teacher’s day to you fabulous educators giving your whole hearts to your teaching artistry. May you be reminded today, tomorrow and always that your love and hard work truly never go unnoticed. 💖

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Nadina for taking home 2nd Place in JR Speech Arts Acting PROVINCIAL standings!

Though this season Provincials were hosted virtually, the talent of our Sparklers never fails in resonating the message screen to screen, loud and clear... WE SPARKLE! 💖

As a coach, I’m always asked, “What’s the TRICK to acting...?” My response usually goes a little something like this: “I actually don’t know because I do not believe there is one... but what I do know is that if you fake emotions in whatever you are doing, then you’re compromising a sense of yourself, too... so, don’t.” And also I think one of my most important pieces of advice I give to all students I work with... DO NOT ever think you know it all because no one does. If you place yourself in a stance of vulnerability and acknowledge that we can learn from each other, that is the greatest success in growing your craft. “Keep growing, keep going... Keep going, keep growing...” 🌻💖

Help me in extending A HUGE congrats to fellow Sparkler, Nadina, for making it to Acting Provincials! Nadina will be (virtually) competing her acting crafts against performers across all of Ontario as she proudly represents all of Brampton with her talents! An extra congratulations to her for receiving 2 scholarships and 2 offers to represent each festival she entered at the provincial standard. I am humbled to share that as a proud coach, this is the 6TH YEAR in a row my students have been chosen to represent their acting talents at the Provincials level! Truly in passion lies a deepest form of purpose... “As long as there is a soul wanting to learn, I will forever teach.” 💖
