This Saturday February 12, 2022 , Beyond our Classroom is meeting up for a morning of cross-country skiing in Mulmer at Mansfield Outdoor Centre.

Admission Cost: Half day pass = $21.47 ( $19 plus HST)
Full day pass = $28.25 ($25 plus HST)
Includes free parking and indoor washrooms.

You will need to bring your own Nordic skiing or snowshoeing gear or rent.

Rentals
Cross Country Skis, boots & poles Half Day $19 = $21.47 ( $19 plus HST)
Snowshoe rental for a full day $15 = $16.95 ( $15 plus HST)

The meeting time and location will be shared with those who register.

Children: If your children can keep a steady walking pace with us, they are welcome to join us. You are responsible for your child’s safe behaviour.

Equipment: Due to COVID-19, Albion Hills Conservation Area is not renting gear this winter. You will need to bring your own boots and hiking gear. Bring a small backpack with your drinking water bottle and peanut free snacks. Dress for light rain with rain jacket, sunglasses, waterproof mitts, rain hat that covers your ears, scarf, wool socks, long underwear, nylon pants and layered clothing. If you are a beginner, wear a nylon outer layer over your pants. With the wind chill on Thursday, the temperature will feel like - 2 C. Weather Forecast for Caledon states 3 C and drizzle.

Safety: For health and safety we will practice COVID-19 social distancing and wear our masks during conversations. We’ll stay on the trails and move as a group.

TRCA reminds all nature seekers to be extremely cautious when enjoying time outside this winter, and to stay on designated trails at all times. Ice is never 100% safe. Please STAY OFF local TRCA rivers, streams, ponds, reservoirs, wetland and marshes. Conditions are not being monitored and ice may be unsafe. Venturing out onto the ice is NOT a permitted activity at TRCA parks. Do not put yourself and others at risk.
