We were honoured to welcome MPP David Smith David Smith to the Lady Ballers Centre!
MPP Smith spent time with participants in our LBC Eco Power Electrical Program, engaging with them about the future of Canada’s electrical, energy, and mining sectors and the growing opportunities within the skilled trades.
We especially appreciated his emphasis on the importance of creating pathways for young people — particularly women — to enter and build careers in the skilled trades. Conversations like these give our participants the opportunity to connect the skills they are developing today with the possibilities that exist for their futures.
Thank you, MPP Smith, for taking the time to visit our space, meet our participants, and share your perspective on the opportunities ahead. We’re proud to be preparing the next generation of skilled tradespeople and creating more pathways for women to see themselves in these industries!
