Dear Students and Parents,

On August 22, we have a unique opportunity to participate in a special Shinkyokushinkai Karate Kumite Seminar led by Sensei Viktor Moskvych, 4th Dan WKO Shinkyokushinkai.

Sensei Viktor is an experienced instructor and coach, a National Category Referee, Master of Sports of Ukraine, and one of the leading figures in the development of Shinkyokushinkai Karate in the Volyn region of Ukraine. Throughout his coaching career, he has trained champions and medalists of the Ukrainian and European Championships, as well as winners and medalists of international tournaments.

πŸ₯Š The main focus of the seminar will be KUMITE.

This is a great opportunity to train with an experienced coach, gain new knowledge and practical experience, improve your technique, and develop your fighting skills.
Summer break is coming to an end, and I believe this seminar is an excellent way to start the new training and school year on the right foot - get back into training mode, find new motivation, and set new goals for the season ahead.

πŸ“… Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026

⏰ Time: 1:00–3:00 p.m.

πŸ“ Location: Carmen Corbasson Community Centre

Summer is outside.

People are on vacation, enjoying the sun and taking time to relax.
So are we... just in a different way.
For us, relaxation comes in the dojo - during training and in the quiet moments afterward, knowing we gave everything we had.
It doesn't matter whether there is 1 student or 50 on the floor. Every single person deserves our full attention.
Our heart, our spirit, our knowledge, and our experience remain the same. We give them completely, every single class.
Because karate is not about the size of the group. It's about the commitment you bring to every student who steps onto the tatami.

Three incredible days.
One unforgettable experience.

The Geminos Dojo Team has successfully completed an outstanding International Kata Seminar in Chicago led by Shihan Sergey Mutin, with the participation of Shihan Anton Garanin.

During the seminar, we studied and analyzed five first-round kata: Gekisai Dai, Gekisai Sho, Yantsu, Tsuki no Kata, and Saiha, as well as three advanced kata: Seienchin, Seipai, and Sushiho.

Beyond simply practicing the movements, we worked extensively on speed, rhythm, timing, technical precision, and the subtle details that make each kata come alive. We also explored the bunkai (applications) of every kata, gaining a much deeper understanding of their practical meaning and fighting principles.
The depth of knowledge, technical mastery, and teaching ability of Shihan Sergey Mutin are truly remarkable.

Every seminar opens new horizons, inspires us to look at kata from a new perspective, and strengthens our determination to become better than we were yesterday.

The seminar is over, and although we are physically exhausted, it is the kind of fatigue every martial artist appreciates - the satisfying exhaustion that comes from hard work, countless repetitions, and hours of focused training. Sore muscles are simply a reminder that we have taken another step forward on our Kyokushin journey.

Now we are looking forward to getting back to the dojo and putting everything we have learned into practice with our students and teammates.

Our sincere gratitude goes to Shihan Sergey Mutin and Shihan Anton Garanin for sharing your knowledge, experience, and passion for Karate. Thank you for another unforgettable learning experience.

Finally, our heartfelt thanks go to our families. Your love, patience, encouragement, and unwavering support make it possible for us to pursue our goals, travel to learn, and continue growing both as karateka and as people.

Osu!
