Don’t be too hard on Scheer. We need him around longer. Big help to keeping our government in place longer. It would be a disaster if he joined Team Canada.
Matt Gurney: The Conservatives need a new leader. Now
The Conservatives need a better leader than Scheer is willing or able to be, and the Canadian people deserve an effectively led Opposition

What does having 1 special ed teacher for 37 elementary students in a school mean? Nothing in itself. What ratio is appropriate? It depends. Who is appropriate for this help? All students have needs. They should be addressed. The sorry answer is that the teachers are overwhelmed, the psych testing too long a wait and the teaching methodology geared against students with different learning strengths - good and challenging. It's the system, not the individuals. It's a political, not a learning issue. Form committees to change the system. There are ways. Must read: Linda Siegel, Understanding Dyslexia and other Learning Disabilities, Pacific Education Press, 2013. There is huge data, analysis and common sense. An excellent read for understanding learning and teaching in normal circumstances for all parents.
