Did you know we offer a half-day Montessori program for preschoolers born in 2023 or early 2024. Limited spots available.

A wonderful way to introduce your child to Montessori while building independence, confidence, friendships and those important “I can do it myself!” skills.

Perfect for families who aren’t quite ready for a full day, our program runs five mornings a week for $625/month.

More than just a half-day program, we hope this is the beginning of your child’s Montessori journey with us, growing from mornings into our full program as they are ready.

Today, our school community recognized Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Throughout the school, teachers approached the day in age-appropriate ways. For our youngest students, this meant simple conversations, stories, and activities centred around kindness, belonging, and the understanding that every child matters.

As students get older, their learning grows with them. Our oldest students had the opportunity to spend the day with the Wahta Mohawks, taking part in their community walk, sharing a potluck, gathering at the Sacred Fire, and remembering the children who did not return home.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, reflect, and come together as a school community. May we carry the spirit of kindness, respect, and remembrance with us not just today, but throughout the year.

🌕 When the world around us gives us something beautiful to notice, we stop and learn about it.

Our Lower Elementary students explored the Harvest Moon, learned why it has such an important place in the changing seasons, and created their own Harvest Moon landscapes.

So when you look up at the moon this weekend in all its Harvest Moon glory, remember what we shared with our students: no matter where we are, we all look up and see the same moon, just as people have for thousands of years. 🌕✨

As we approach next week and prepare to welcome our students into their classrooms, we want to take a moment to share just how much our families mean to us.

The trust, love, and support you have given us never go unnoticed. We appreciate each and every one of you more than we can say.

We are so excited to welcome both our new and returning students and begin another wonderful year together. The kids are why we do what we do, and we can’t wait to see their smiling faces!

Why Montessori for the Elementary years?

Because children are capable of so much more than simply memorizing facts.

Montessori elementary students are encouraged to ask questions, follow their interests, and make meaningful connections across every subject. A fascination with space might lead to reading, writing, math, science, history, and art—all connected through authentic learning that sparks curiosity.
