Grades 4-8 classes enjoyed a great day of fishing on June 18th, along with many family members who came along to help out with baiting hooks, landing the fish and cooking the hot dog lunch. A treasure hunt and man-tracker game were played while not fishing. A fantastic day!

Thank you to Knowledge Keeper, Abel Gott, and to the Kawacatooose Boys Singers and Dance Troupe who came to Bowsman School, Tuesday, June 16th, to help us celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day. Abel spoke to classes about Spirit Names, while the Kawacatoose Boys, an intergenerational family group, shared cultural songs and dance, dressed in their fine regalia.

The grade 4 class enjoyed a wonderful field trip today with a walkabout around Bowsman! Mrs. Honke shared many interesting stories about the community's history, including where the old school once stood, where the biffies were burned, and the block of businesses that was lost in a fire many years ago. Along the way, we also noticed some vandalism and had a brief discussion about taking pride in and caring for our community.
We made a stop at the library, where students enjoyed reading books and working on puzzles. We were also surprised with a special treat from Troy's mom, who left us snacks and an invitation to a summer pool party in Birch River.
To finish off our adventure, we visited the Bowsman Hotel Convenience Store, where Aarnav's dad generously treated everyone to free strawberry ice cream. Students also had the opportunity to purchase a snack if they wished. It was a great day of learning, exploring, and connecting with our community!

Thank you to our amazing PARENT GROUP AND VOLUNTEERS!

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our incredible parent group and volunteers! Your generosity, dedication, and willingness to help have made a tremendous difference to our school community.

Throughout the year, you have given your time and energy in countless ways - helping with Little Caesars fundraising orders and pick-up, sorting and distributing products, working hot lunch sales, supporting hamburger and hot dog fundraisers, serving at our Mother's Day Breakfast, assisting with family BBQs, tying skates, baking muffins and cookies, reading with students, checking in with us to see if we needed anything and so much more.

Whether you volunteered behind the scenes or in front of a crowd, your contributions helped create meaningful experiences for our students and families while supporting important school initiatives and programs.

We are truly grateful for every hour you shared, every task you tackled, and every smile you brought to our school!
