It's our final weekend of the 2026 season! Come visit our fantastic student staff members before they head back to another year of studies at Vancouver Island University . We will reopen to the public on the 2027 May Long Weekend. We will continue to be available for school program bookings throughout the winter but we won't have public drop-in hours. If you've been waiting to visit- now is the time!

Happy Long Weekend! Our wonderful staff team will be welcoming visitors every day except Monday. We will be closed on Monday August 3 for the holiday and then back to regular hours Tuesday. Have a great weekend!

Closed July 1, 2026. Our animals and staff are having a break tomorrow and will be excited to see you all back on Thursday, July 2. We are open daily 10am - 4pm.

We are OPEN 7 days a week, 10am-4pm. Come make new friends with our touch tank creatures, learn about the current research happening at the station or enjoy a variety of activities in our classroom! We have a great team of VIU students working at the station this summer and they are excited to share their marine stoke with you!

Join us for a special opening on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 10am to 3pm to help celebrate the Brant Wildlife Festival. This is a great opportunity to visit the Deep Bay Marine Field Station before we open for the summer season mid-May.

The Brant Wildlife Festival brings together thousands of people each year to celebrate nature. The festival hosts a multitude of events in the Spring that connect people with nature, educate people of all ages on topics of conservation, and celebrate the incredible biodiversity our region has to offer.
