There’s an empty space behind the door…

…And on the floor when I got out of bed this morning.

When I’m coming down the stairs in the dark I don’t need to step over you…

There’s also a hole in the ground at the front of the house that will need to be filled in because you won’t be laying there anymore.

An empty chair in the living room…

An extra food bowl on the floor…

And so much space in our hearts for you.

9.5 years with you was a gift.
Thank you for being a constant in our lives.
Thank you for leaving this earth on your own terms, sparing us the pain of choosing a date.
Thank you for loving these kids.
Thank you for your kind and gentle soul.

I love you, Ginger.
We will never forget you.
Our broken hearts and feelings of loss are a minor inconvenience compared to what you have added to our lives.

Rest in peace my sweet sweet girl.

This entire post could be a book

Also, this conversation is multi-layered and nuanced. A static post cannot and will not suffice but I shall try.

Did I need to heal my sh*t?
Yep. The me at the time needed it.
Or thought she needed it.

The present day me isn’t even the same me as I was.
The present day me sees that I didn’t need it.

Todays me is not the same person as the 7 years ago me.
I don’t resonate with her anymore.

I don’t help others ā€œhealā€ anymore because I don’t think that’s what they need from me or need for themselves.

They aren’t broken, just like I never was.

I’m incapable of holding space for wounds, because I can’t see them. All I see is the conditioning around what we are told/sold that the wounds are.

It’s all a distraction from… something.
It’s all an excuse to not move forward into the resistance of bigger expansion and expression.

Do what you gotta do to deal, confront the darkness and alchemize it BUT read my simple words when I say that it doesn’t need to be a big production.

The way to pure freedom is sooooo much more simple than our jazz hands, egos and our fave social media stars want it to be.

Nobody here is broken.
Never was.
Never will be.
There’s no need to ā€œget into alignmentā€ because you aren’t crooked.
There’s no need to ā€œmanifestā€, because you already are doing it.

You. Already. Are. it.

You just think ā€œitā€ should look different than it currently does and THATS the problem. šŸ˜

It seems simple enough, doesn’t it?

Say what you mean:
Just say the words.
Spit it out.
99% of communication issues come from people making assumptions about what another person is saying.
Just say it as you want it to be heard.

Mean what you say.
Leave emotions out.
There’s nothing worse than regretting something you said while you were hangry on a full moon.
Trust me, I know. šŸ™ƒ

Do what you say you are going to do.
Let me shout this one from the rooftops! Be where you said you would be. Uphold your commitments.
Live. Up. To. Your. WORD.

This is basic integrity.
Basic self leadership.
Basic human stuff.

Master this and your life will continue to get better.

19 months ago I got a job in a hair salon to take the pressure off my coaching business and here’s how it’s going…

I wanted to build my coaching business from a place of pure desire. In order to do that I had to take the financial pressure off of my coaching and allow my creativity to flow.

I trusted my intuition on this one.

In the beginning of 2021 I had invested (5 figures 😱) in some coaching programs and masterminds to help me with my business.
By the summer of 2021 I had seen the payoff. I was making money and it was building.
(AND I had never felt so confident and sure of myself).

BUT I felt wobbly.
The ground underneath me didn’t feel stable and I felt an immense amount of pressure.

I got the job in the salon in July 2021.
9 months later, in true Kristen style, I bought the business and the real estate under it. (Side note: I had a goal to buy an investment property in 2022 āœ… & I had a specific income goal for 2022 and smashed it months ago āœ…)

I would 100% NOT be where I am if it wasn’t for coaching and having support.

I would not be able to build my businesses from this (now) very stable ground if it wasn’t for coaching and straight up trust in myself.

I have continued to refine my coaching business behind the scenes while working hard at building the salon. I have continued to invest time, money and energy into my growth, because that’s what I do.

I can’t wait to share more of what I have learned on this journey.

Stay tuned, I’m just really just getting started šŸ˜‰

How do we even know if we are making the right decision?

If I’m being honest, sometimes I have no idea if I’m making the right decision.
Sometimes I just have to leap and trust that I will be caught.
OR
I have to leap and trust myself enough to know that if I fall that I can GET UP and try again.

I feel like we are conditioned to want to control the outcome.
We want to know what’s going to happen BEFORE we make the decision.
But it doesn’t work that way.

Sure, we can make safe and predictable decisions.
But safe and predictable decisions come with safe and predictable results. (Which is all fine and good if that’s what you want, but if you are anything like me you want more than that)

Over time we can learn to work our decision making muscle.
We can build self awareness to know ourselves well enough to spot our sabotage patterns in their tracks.
We can build our self worth and confidence to know our foundation is SOLID.
We can understand what it means to TRULY make a decision. (Yes or no is a decision. ā€œMaybeā€ or ā€œtryingā€ doesn’t exist in the decision making realm.

Daily mortality reminder:
You only have one shot at this life. There’s zero room to hide in fear.
We don’t have time for this.

Say yes to the things that light your soul on fire.
Say yes to the things that feel like a ā€œyesā€ but seem uncomfortable.
Say yes to the thing that costs money even though you have spent money before and didn’t see a return.

Say yes to yourself.
Or say NO if it doesn’t align.

The only way to learn if it’s the right decision is to MAKE the decision.

It is completely unsustainable for me to be ā€œexcitedā€ all the time.

I can’t promise that I will show up ā€œhigh vibeā€, although I sometimes will.

I’m definitely not going to look ā€œprofessionalā€ā€¦ whatever that means anyway…

I’m likely going to be consistently inconsistent forever.

But what I will be is authentic.
Real as they get.
No fluff.
No BS.

High on life one day.
Apathetic the next.

That’s just who I am.
Full transparency.

If you want a perfection look elsewhere.

If you want sugar coating, look elsewhere.

If you want straight up truth with a side of swear words, I’m your girl.

I’ve always struggled with the term, ā€œcoachā€ as I don’t believe it fully aligns with what I do and who I am.

I continue to use it because it is a known term. People recognize it, and it’s important to me to have that connection.

Truly, I am a creator, an artist, an intuitive, a spirit, a guide, a mentor…. And so so so much more.

In this point in time, I feel like a ā€œMuseā€.

A Muse is defined as a source of artistic inspiration.

I believe that our life is our art.
Our businesses are also art.

I hold space for creation of all kinds.
I help foster expression of all creations.
Expression of self.
Expression of boundaries.
Expression of wealth.
Expression of words + content.
Expression of energy.

In the tangible, I help people follow their hearts and live their wildest dreams while expressing their purpose and acknowledging their human simultaneously.
