Yesterday, our teachers took part in a Professional Learning Day, but we also managed to pull off a pretty special surprise!

At lunchtime, the staff gathered to celebrate our guidance counsellor, Mrs. Alison Owens, with a surprise baby shower. She had absolutely no idea, which made it even more memorable. We enjoyed lunch together, played a few games, shared some laughs, and spoiled mom and baby with gifts. Of course, no celebration would be complete without cake!

With only a few days left before she begins her maternity leave, we wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate this exciting milestone. While this isn’t Mrs. Owens’ first journey into motherhood, it is an exciting new chapter for her growing family, and we know she will be greatly missed by both staff and students at Botwood Collegiate.

From all of us at Botwood Collegiate, we wish you and your family all the best as you prepare to welcome your newest addition. Thank you for everything you do for our school community. We can’t wait to hear all about this next adventure and look forward to seeing you again soon. 💛🖤👶

Today we celebrate World Teachers’ Day and recognize the incredible staff at Botwood Collegiate.

Our teachers do so much more than teach lessons. They coach teams, lead clubs, organize events, support students, build relationships, and help create a school where everyone can learn and grow. Their impact reaches far beyond the classroom and helps shape the future of our students every day.

Thank you to all of our teachers for your dedication, patience, encouragement, and the countless hours you invest in our school community. We are grateful for everything you do.

Happy World Teachers’ Day to the amazing staff of Botwood Collegiate! 💛🖤

What a start to the volleyball season for our Senior Boys Volleyball team!

The boys travelled to Harbour Breton this weekend to compete in the Seniormania Mary Brown’s Invitational and came home undefeated, capturing the tournament banner and gold medal.

Congratulations to Carter Egedy on being named Tournament MVP for his outstanding performance throughout the weekend.

A big thank you goes out to Coach Erica Egedy and Mr. Jackman for stepping in as teacher sponsor while Mrs. Cooke was away coaching the girls team this weekend.

Way to go, Warriors! It was a lot of fun watching this group compete, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store.
