Congratulations to Mr. Butler on his retirement! We wish you nothing but the best in this next chapter. We will miss your jokes, sarcasm, humour, and all that you have done for students over the years. From organizing annual trips to Marble Mountain and the Outdoor Adventure Race to sharing your passion for the outdoors in your teaching, your impact on our school has been immense. We hope you get to spend lots of time enjoying the outdoors on your new permanent vacation!

Next, thank you to Ms. Gillingham for everything you have given to our music program. Countless hours after school, during lunch, and at recess were devoted to helping students grow and succeed. You have built a remarkable program and shared your passion and love for music with so many students, helping some overcome their fears and take the stage to perform. We wish you all the best in your next chapter at Memorial Academy.

Congratulations to Mr. Mews on your new permanent position! We wish you all the best and hope you can find your way back to Botwood Collegiate someday. Although you were with us for only one year, you fit in as though you had always been part of our staff. Your patience, calm demeanour, and love of sports were evident as you participated in school events and stepped into the role of Ball Hockey coach.

Thank you to Mr. Layte for all of your hard work this year. It seemed like you never sat down! Whether helping students in math class or coaching table tennis before school, your dedication was always evident. Your passion for table tennis helped grow our program even further. We will continue building on what you started, but we hope you’ll stop by for a visit and teach us a few more spins and tricks along the way.

Ms. Duffy, thank you for always being so helpful and supportive of the students in our building. We truly appreciate everything you have done, and we hope to see you back at Botwood Collegiate again in the future.

Finally, thank you to Mrs. Antle for your many years of service to Botwood Collegiate. We appreciate the countless ways you have supported students throughout your time here. We wish you all the best in this next chapter of your life. 💛💛

Good Evening Botwood Collegiate Community

I just wanted to share some information for the last day of school for students tomorrow. We are going to start the day with a pancake breakfast for all students and staff, prepared and served by the Kinsmen. We will also be having an assembly during the morning and after that students will get their report cards and will be dismissed around 1pm or once buses are on the parking lot.

If a report card is bring picked up for a student that is absent, the parent of the absent student will need to contact the office to let us know, otherwise they will not be given out.

At this time, on behalf of all staff at Botwood Collegiate, we wish you a safe and relaxing summer.

Welcome to Tickleberry Point!

Our NL Studies class has been hard at work this year creating a miniature community. Crafted from milk cartons, cereal boxes, and other recyclables, students transformed everyday waste into a vibrant coastal town.

Through this project, students gain a deeper appreciation for the ingenuity, perseverance, and hard work of the people who built Newfoundland and Labrador’s coastal communities.

We’re proud of their creativity, teamwork, and craftsmanship!
