Little Steps Nursery School

Today marks the end of an era for me and Little Steps Nursery School. Little Steps will be welcoming children for the very last time today.

It is such a bittersweet time. Little Steps has been a labour of love for me. It’s been such a wonderful journey; for the many years I had my own tiny children at home; and also welcomed so many other sweet faces through my doors.
Over 7 years I have thoroughly enjoyed supporting so many little ones as they grew and developed. It always meant the world to me when a family signed their children up at nursery school. I felt honoured and so very thankful that they trusted me to care and nurture their most precious parts of their hearts.

My next journey takes me into the school system as an EA. Supporting children with special needs has always been deeply rooted in my bones and I am excited, and nervous, for what is to come.
As an added bonus I get to work at the same school that my children attend, and those benefits are endless.

Thank you to every friend of Little Steps. I’ve had a great time!!

This week we are learning all about our names.

This is always a preferred activity.
What preschoolers doesn’t LOVE stickers?!

During this activity we are working on:

⭐️ eye-hand coordination
⭐️ fine motor skills
⭐️ expressive & receptive language skills
⭐️ literacy skills

These pumpkins turned out so good! And, we had lots of fun creating them. 😁

Tomorrow we celebrate our first Birthday! Yay!

Almost time for back to school!
We are soaking up the last few weeks of summer!! Swimming, playing games, relaxing, family time - yes please to all of the above!!😍

Our Fall class is almost full! We are looking for 1-2 more little friends to join us as we explore and learn together.
If you know of anyone that has a young child who might be interested please send them along to Little Steps Nursery School.

We loved learning about patterning. 😍
We did farm patterning and it was so much fun. At first, it was a little tough but once we practiced a few times it got easier. I was super impressed with how quickly everyone caught on!

Patterning is great cause you can really use anything to practice and learn! Markers, mini snacks, cut paper, stickers……..options are endless!
