Things changed in an immeasurable way for me now that I have seen this music creating AI app in action… I always prided myself in doing work that could never be done by a machine (or so I thought). This app made me feel I was now useless and had wasted my life indulging tirelessly in the pursuit and study of making and enjoying music, both for myself and the joy of but also the goal of making other people feel good by providing them fun and entertainment. Now the time has come where computers can do it all far better than I can…. Rather than feel resentful or inadequate about this once thought impossible situation happening before my eyes I have chosen to see it as yet another source of that joy, I am embracing the ever growing mind blowing abilities of the digital mega brains and approaching it as a companion and tool, to be used to expand what is possible for me to create, play and experiment! Yes, I have spent countless hours practicing, refining and innovating, but now anyone can make any kind of music they want regardless of skill or knowledge! Similar to how some people had spent their lives learning to program computers, but thanks to innovation & simplifying of the user interface, using a computer is available to anyone, is this really so different….??? Who knows where this will take us!? All I know is there is going to be a lot more music in the world, all new skillsets, unexpected creations, experimentation and collaboration!
