Thank you, Kerry Lee of Northern Country Flowers for your donation of flowers and vases to the students of WCE's Science and Green Industries class. Kerry Lee also generously shared her time and expertise on a Friday afternoon. Students dyed their flowers and then, under Kerry Lee's guidance, created a personalized bouquet. This year marks the 21st Grad Survivor event for the graduating students from W. C. Eaket and Jeunesse-Nord! This annual event invites a wonderful line up of guest speakers to share their knowledge and expertise on topics such as mental health and self-advocacy, budgeting, OSAP and employment training opportunities. Former students also came to speak to students about their post-secondary experiences and a representative from Skills Ontario shared information on apprenticeships and skilled trades. Students also had the opportunity to visit booths to chat with representatives from OPP, RBC, Employment Solutions, Algoma Public Health, and Sault College. Thanks to our community’s support and generosity, each student received a loot bag and left with a useful prize as they embark on their next life stage, including 2 mini fridges, small kitchen appliances, and dorm essentials.
Thank you to Brock University, Laurentian University, Lambton College, Cambrian College, Toronto Metropolitan University, Algoma University, Sault College, and Collège Boréal for donating swag items for draws and the loot bags.

What a great day at the North Shore Firefighter Challenge education event! Students learned about many things regarding emergency services work, and as you can see, they were able try on some gear and go through the course!

Thank you Mr. Bond, Ms. Tulloch, Ms. Shamas and Mrs. Rutherford for providing this excellent learning experience.

It is almost time to say goodbye to this wonderful place that has meant so many things to so many people. All former staff, students and community members are invited to take a last 'lap' or two, to reminisce, and to help us to acknowledge all the hard work, achievement and friendships that are inextricably connected to this building. We are hosting two open houses. One is on Saturday, May 23, 2026, and the other is on Saturday, June 13, 2026, both are from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. We hope that you can make it!
