Happy World Teacher Day! Today, we celebrate the passion, dedication, and heart our teachers bring into the classroom every single day. Shaping minds, inspiring curiosity, and guiding the next generation is no small task, but our teachers make it look extraordinary.
To our IRIC teaching team: thank you for your patience, your hard work, and the endless support you offer our students. You don't just teach—you inspire. The IRIC community is lucky!

We are so glad that Miss Val and Miss Shirley are ours!

At Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS), we believe in the power of clean, safe, and welcoming environments for our students and staff!
On National Custodians Day, October 2, we want to take a moment to honour and celebrate the unsung heroes who keep our schools shining and in top shape. They work tirelessly behind the scenes, making our schools a better place for everyone. Thank you Custodians! We appreciate you!

Our school community swapped the gymnasium for the outdoors for a fantastic period of orienteering! From decoding map markers to racing around the school yard, our students showed off incredible teamwork, critical thinking, and determination. Thank you to Mrs. P and Mrs. McCourt for setting up our course.

Our Grade 4 crew had a blast yesterday at their first "Fours Outdoors" of the school year!

Fours Outdoors is a monthly tradition where students and staff get outside, play games, and build community. This month’s activity was a traditional Indigenous tag game—such a fun way to connect and learn together!

Today, our IRIC school community came together to honor, reflect, and take meaningful steps along our shared path to reconciliation.
Together, we listened to The Giving Tree, a beautiful retelling of a traditional Métis story. Following the reading, every student and staff member took time for personal reflection, writing their thoughts and commitments to reconciliation on individual paper leaves. These leaves were then gathered and added to our collective "Giving Tree" in the gathering area—a powerful visual reminder of our growth, unity, and ongoing promise to listen, learn, and honor Indigenous cultures.
Reconciliation is a continuous journey, and today we were grateful to take this meaningful step together.

Today was an absolute success for our IRIC Terry Fox Run!
Our amazing community came together for a fantastic day of laps around the field, and our canteen was such a hit that we completely sold out! We wrapped up the festivities the best way possible: celebrating with freezies.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who ran, walked, bought treats, and donated! Your incredible support keeps Terry's dream alive.
Haven't had a chance to donate yet? We are still accepting donations until October 13!

Today we had our first school wide assembly. We had so much fun learning about our 7 sacred teachings, hearing that Pizza with the Principal is back, and introducing our new mascot along with some other animal friends. Next up is to name the mascot. Students will be able to submit their name submissions until Oct 1st. We are excited for our Eagle to have a name!
