Wolf Creek Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelley Leslie as the new Assistant Principal of Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus, effective for the 2026/27 school year.

A familiar face within the Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus (IRIC) community, Leslie brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting student success. Throughout her time at IRIC, she has served in a variety of leadership roles, including Acting Administrator and Acting Vice-Principal, where she demonstrated strong instructional leadership, thoughtful decision-making, and a collaborative approach to working with students, staff and families.

Over the course of her career with Wolf Creek Public Schools, Leslie has also served as a classroom teacher, an Alberta Initiative for School Improvement (AISI) Leader, and an Instructional Technology Facilitator. These diverse experiences have strengthened her expertise in instructional practice, professional learning, and the creation of engaging learning environments that support the success of all students.

"Shelley has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful, student-centred approach to leadership throughout her career," said Sonja Dykslag, Assistant Superintendent of People Services. "She is a collaborative leader who values strong relationships and creates learning environments where both students and staff can thrive. Her experience, professionalism and deep connection to the Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus community make her exceptionally well-suited for this role, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact she will continue to have as Assistant Principal."

Leslie says she is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the school community in a new leadership capacity.

"I am honoured to step into the role of Assistant Principal at Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus," said Leslie. "IRIC has been an important part of my career, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside our incredible students, staff and families. Together, we will continue building a welcoming, inclusive school where every student feels supported, challenged and inspired to succeed."

Wednesday was all about celebrating our Grade 6 graduates! It’s such a privilege to start with them in Grade 4 and watch them grow into amazing individuals. We can't wait to see what their futures hold. Best of luck at IRJC!

The weather cooperated and we got to run an event that’s a staff and student favorite.. Our annual relays were run today and we are so proud of the sportsmanship!!! We love to see our students cheer each other on.

The sun came out for our track and fun day! Grade 4 and 5’s enjoyed the events! So glad the weather cooperated!
