To all the Mothers of Berens River First Nation — Happy Mother’s Day. Today, we honor the women who are the heart of our Nation and the foundation of our families. In a community rich with heritage, tradition, and strength, motherhood represents far more than raising children — it represents love, sacrifice, guidance, resilience, and the passing of our teachings from one generation to the next.

The strongest matriarchs are often many things at once: a woman of strength, a loving mother, a caring grandmother, a teacher, a protector, and a best friend. Through your wisdom, compassion, and loving support, you continue to shape the spirit of our families and our community.

Your voices carry our stories. Your hands build our homes. Your hearts keep our people together. Because of you, our culture, values, and traditions continue to live on strongly within Berens River First Nation.

On this special day, we thank and celebrate every mother, grandmother, auntie, caregiver, and matriarch who continues to lead with love and strength. May you feel appreciated not only today, but every day.

Happy Mother’s Day from Berens River First Nation. ❤️
