From Kindergarten to Graduation Day, helping students every step of the way!

🎉 This past Thursday, we gathered members of the Student Nutrition South East team to celebrate and honor the incredible career of our program partner's Executive Director, Andy Mills, as he embarks on a well-deserved retirement from The Food Sharing Project 🍎✨

For years, Andy's dedication, passion, and tireless leadership have helped ensure that thousands of students across our region show up to school nourished, ready to learn, and supported. The Food Sharing Project simply wouldn't be what it is today without his vision and commitment to feeding bright futures.

Please join us in sending a massive THANK YOU to Andy and warm wishes for a happy, relaxing, and adventure-filled retirement! You will be deeply missed, Andy, but your legacy will continue to make a difference for years to come. đź’š

We’re fuelling brighter futures! 💙✨

The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation team is incredibly grateful to Enbridge Gas for a generous $3,500 Fuelling Bright Futures grant!

This support will help strengthen three vital programs that make a real difference for local students:

🍎 Food For Learning — helping ensure students have access to nutritious food at school.

🧺 Sharing Cupboards— providing students with access to essential food and personal care items when they need them.

💙Student Emergency Fund — offering timely support for urgent needs like food, clothing, hygiene items and transportation.

Together, we’re helping remove barriers so students can focus on what matters most: learning, growing and reaching their full potential.

Thank you, Enbridge Gas, for helping fuel brighter futures for local students!

Another backpack packing day in the books!

The Learning Foundation team joined United Way Hastings & Prince Edward, and their incredible volunteers yesterday as backpacks were packed for local students across Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
This program supports local students with age-appropriate school supplies at a discounted rate, helping students and families head into the new school year with the supplies needed for a successful school year!
Thank you to United Way HPE for having us out to help, and for organizing such a special program to support local students and families!

It's Splash Pad season! Spending the day at a Splash Pad is the best way to cool off, burn energy and enjoy the outdoors. And the best part...they are free and accessible.

Cool off at one of The City of Belleville's Splash Pads:

Pack a picnic, grab your towels and enjoy!!!

Today is a special day - love note day! Today we will take the time to write a love note to each of our golf tournament supports - there are so many. Because of each supporter, $80,000 was raised to support local students through the Student Emergency Fund - and that is pretty amazing.
Last year, over 500 local students received support through the SEF fund. Thank you!

Did you know supporting local students can be as much fun as organizing a Blue Jays game trip! 💙⚾️

A huge thank you once again to Dale Asselstine for organizing such an incredible day at the Dome in support of the Hastings & Prince Edward Learning Foundation! From bringing everyone together, to arranging the trip, to cheering on the Jays — and celebrating a Blue Jays WIN — it was such a fun way to support local students. 🎉

Dale’s event is a perfect example of how 3rd Party Fundraisers can combine what you love with a cause you care about. Whether it’s organizing a sports outing, hosting an event, planning a tournament, or bringing your own creative idea to life, fundraising can be meaningful, fun, and something you genuinely enjoy doing.

Thank you again, Dale, for choosing to support local students and for showing us that giving back can be a whole lot of fun!

And thank you to everyone who joined us, our amazing bus drivers, and Switzer-Carty Transportation for helping make this incredible day possible. 🥰
