We honour this day and acknowledge the harm done by residential schools in Canada, and their ongoing impact. We encourage everyone to join us in recognizing the enduring strength and resilience of Indigenous communities and to acknowledge the deep and ongoing contributions Indigenous Peoples make to the social, cultural, economic and environmental fabric of this country.

In observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, flags will be flown at half-mast on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at all HPEDSB buildings.

🚨 NOTICE: MOCK EMERGENCY DRILL AT MASSASSAGA-REDNERSVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOL 🚨

Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue and HPEDSB are conducting a joint emergency drill at Massassaga-Rednersville Public School on-site on September 28, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM.

* Scenario: Simulating an environmental emergency response for on-site propane tanks.

* What you’ll see: Fire trucks, emergency crews and personnel in safety vests at the school.

This is strictly a test—there is no real emergency. Thank you for helping our teams practice keeping our schools safe!

We are thrilled to share that the incredible volunteers behind our Food For Learning programs were honored last night with a Civic Recognition Award from the Mayor of Prince Edward County at the Inaugural 2026 Civic Recognition Awards Ceremony!

Every week, this amazing group—made up of dedicated parents, grandparents, community members, and school staff—gives their time to make sure our students have access to healthy, nutritious food every day through our daily Breakfast Club and weekly Healthy Lunch programs.

Please join us in giving a huge THANK YOU to our fantastic volunteers! We are so grateful for your selflessness, dedication, and the love you pour into supporting our Mass-Red students😀👏
