Request for Bids: BBCS 50-Year Celebration Video Project
BBCS is seeking proposals from qualified videographers to create a commemorative video celebrating BBCS’ 50-year anniversary.
Project Overview
BBCS is preparing to celebrate 50 years of service, community, learning, and shared history. We are inviting interested individuals to submit bids to produce a meaningful, high-quality video that honours this milestone and captures the stories, people, and moments that have shaped BBCS over the past five decades.
Scope of Work
The successful bidder will be responsible for planning, filming, editing, and delivering a final celebration video. The project may include interviews, historic and current photos, archival materials, event footage, music, titles, and other visual elements that help tell the story of BBCS’ 50-year journey.
The video should be suitable for public viewing and may be shared at the 50-year celebration event, on BBCS communication channels, and in other related promotional or archival materials.
Required Services
Meet with BBCS representatives to confirm the creative direction, timeline, and key messages for the video.
Film interviews with selected community members, staff, students, Elders, alumni, families, and/or other participants as identified by BBCS.
Incorporate photographs, archival images, and other approved materials provided by BBCS.
Capture additional footage as needed to support the story and overall theme of the 50-year celebration.
Edit the video into a polished final product, including music, titles, captions or names where appropriate, transitions, and basic colour and sound adjustments.
Provide BBCS with a final digital video file in a format suitable for presentation and online sharing.
Bid Submission Requirements
Interested applicants must submit a written bid that includes the following:
A brief introduction to the individual.
A description of the proposed approach for creating the BBCS 50-year celebration video.
An estimated project timeline, including availability for filming, editing, review, and final delivery.
A detailed project budget or bid amount, including any applicable taxes, travel, equipment, editing, licensing, or other costs.
At least one example of previous videography work that demonstrates filming and editing skills.
A list of relevant credentials, experience, training, certifications, or past projects.
Contact information, including name, phone number, email address, and mailing address if applicable.
Any requirements or support needed from BBCS, such as access to interviewees, photos, locations, or archival materials.
Selection Criteria
Bids will be reviewed based on factors such as demonstrated videography skill, relevant experience, proposed approach, ability to work respectfully with community members, project timeline, overall cost, and the quality of previous work samples.
Important Dates
Bid submission deadline: September 30, 2026
Anticipated project start date: October 15, 2026
Final video delivery deadline: March 31, 2027
