We are still accepting donations toward the Terry Fox Foundation until Monday, October 5th. The Summit 10th Anniversary was celebrated at elementary this week with a collaborative art project, and with some sweet treats! The grade fives worked together to create our giant yeti logo and everyone in elementary decorated a balloon to surround the yeti. The Cool Bus Treats ice cream truck stopped by on Wednesday to provide ice cream to many happy students and families! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to help us mark this milestone🍦

The Elementary assembly theme this year is “One Community, Many Stories.” Classes will take turns learning about and sharing the cultures and traditions of the diverse people who make up our community. This week, the grade five class shared a presentation about the Mi’kmaq. They designed drums in the style of famous Nova Scotian Mi’maw artist Alan Syliboy.
