We hope you all enjoyed a beautiful celebration of Canada with friends and family yesterday. It was a gorgeous day and everywhere we looked, there were people with smiles on their faces and laughter could be heard all over.

We are sharing this lovely post by Shivani’s Kitchen because it’s such a compliment to the Atlantic provinces of Canada. Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island are often described as the friendliest and most welcoming parts of Canada. We are so happy this family brought their wonderful talents here, and have chosen NS to call their home.

On a beautiful fall evening in 2011, I was drinking tea on my then-boyfriend Abhishek's porch in Moncton when a person was walking by, seeing us he stopped and started chatting. We probably talked for 30 mins, he found out that I was new to Canada and Moncton so he recommended places to see, and things to do. When he left I asked Abhishek who was this guy and he said he had no idea, he had never seen that person before. Little did that stranger know that I was having difficulty adjusting to the people, place, and weather but that one conversation with a stranger helped me, decide to make Atlantic Canada our home. That is also the reason why I decided to open my production factory in Nova Scotia and continue to promote Canada wherever I go.

To me, this is what Canada is all about, loving, welcoming and open. Happy Canada Day from my immigrant Canadian family to all Canadians.
