We are closed today in observation of Remberence Day. Our daycare children made poppies and discussed the meaning of a poppy and how it represents the sacrifices made by soldiers and their families for our freedom. Lest we Forget!

Spending some time trying to build a train track. These children are working together to figure out where the pieces have to fit together. So many cognitive and social skills being developed in this type of play!!

Some of the great Halloween crafts currently on display in our playrooms! Art is the purest form of self expression!!

Who says you need the most expensive flashy toys?? When given the opportunity children can create their own toys and fun in nature. Recently we took the children to a patch of trees and mulch to play, they started playing Hide and Seek immediately!!! Without teacher prompting and before long changed their play to "camping" the children started building fires to roast marshmallows they were working together discussing their ideas and building on what each other had to say.

Open-ended nature play, can be a fabulous learning experience for children. So many skills needed to create your own play outside of a playground structure.

Get them outside let them explore!!! You may be amazed at the play you see developing!!😊

We are closed today for Thanksgiving, but wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!! We have so much to be thankful for!!

Just a boy and his bugs! Almost every young child has a great fascination with bugs! This grassy spot allows for creativity in play with the bugs and snake. The play can feel more realistic in this way.

Such a eye opening thought. We need to respect, listen and pay attention to the things that cause behaviors in children. That is the only way we can help them better understand and communicate the things they are feeling. Also the only way Educators can help cut back on occurring behaviors.

We are closed today in recognition of National Truth and Reconciliation Day. We believe in the rights of the child!! Every Child Matters , and most importantly every child has the right to a Safe and Encouraging learning environment!!! We wore our orange shirts yesterday to show we stand as supporters and protectors of all children.

The music lady came yesterday to sing with the children, they had so much fun and enjoyed it completely!! Music really brings children together!

When children work together anything is possible!!!! These children spent a lot of time working together, talking it out and building this tower!! They were so proud of themselves when it was completed!!
