“Fascinating FIREFLIES”, afternoon class, was an absolute BLAST!!!

I loved working with this creative crew SO MUCH!

They created an acrylic painting and learning some painting techniques along the way.

They also had so much fun creating a firefly lanterns! Their enthusiasm for art and all things creative was CONTAGIOUS!

“Fascinating FIREFLIES” was an art camp for the record books! This was the morning class!

They created acrylic paintings where they learned to mix colours and blend the paint to create a galaxy-like night sky!

They also created firefly lanterns that lit up, using colourful painted paper, full of texture, that they had made themselves.

These kiddos were such enthusiastic students and I loved every minute of working with them! Thank you for helping to make Let’s THRIVE such a special place to be! Have a wonderful rest of your summer, my friends.

That’s a wrap! The “Spectacular STARLINGS” art camp was a huge success!

These kiddos created a floral wreath, featuring a bird, and practiced SO MANY skills!

They each took home a copy of “How Starling Got His Speckles”, written by Keely Parrack, illustrated by Antonio Boffa and published by Barefoot Books!

Check out these AMAZING volcanoes!!!!!

These kids have worked SO HARD over the past couple of days, designing, building and EXPLODING their volcanoes!!! 🌋

Each student took home a copy of the book, “Stranded: A Mostly True Story from Iceland”, written by Ævar Pór Benediktsson, illustrated by Anne Wilson and published by Barefoot Books!

What’s it like, at Let’s THRIVE??? Here’s a little snapshot….

Let me tell you a little bit about my WHY, as the owner/teacher of this little gem of a home-based business, in Beaumont, Alberta.

I absolutely love teaching.

I want to provide a space for children (ages 5 through to 12), to engage with each other in a creative and meaningful way.

I want them to explore art, engage with stories (a splash of literacy), while connecting with others and essentially building confidence.

I want them to experience joy and create beautiful childhood memories.

I want them to have fun!!!

You wouldn’t BELIEVE the fun we had in the “Delectable DESSERTS” summer art camp!

These kiddos are AH-MAZING young artists and they created with such vision and focus… all while sharing laughs and telling stories.

My favourite part of these camps and workshops are the connections that are made. We spend hours of screen-free time together, creating, imagining, discussing, and connecting.

Check out the desserts they created with Crayola Model Magic. SO FUN!!!

The “Ice Cream DREAM”summer art camp was a huge hit!

Students created a mixed media ice cream cone art project, all while socializing and having FUN!

Of course we had to finish out our time together enjoying some ice cream sundaes! 🍦🍧

What a fantastic group of little artists! They are so skilled, creative and confident at the art table. Proud of them!
