It’s that time of year already! 🍎📚 School starts next week, and our staff has been hard at work preparing for the return of our students.

📅 Curriculum Evening – Thursday, August 27

Curriculum Evening will be held in person at the school. Families can attend one of the following sessions:

6:30–6:55 p.m.
7:00–7:25 p.m.

This evening is intended for parents and guardians only. Grade-level teachers will present together and provide an overview of the curriculum, classroom expectations, and what families can expect throughout the school year.

We are excited to welcome all of our new and returning Beacon Hill families back for another wonderful school year!

And that’s a wrap for the 2025-2026 school year! 🎉

Today, we held our end-of-year assembly where our Grade 6 students presented on South Africa, we announced the winner of the chess tournament and the Golden Marshmallow Award, enjoyed a fantastic performance from the Grade 5 dance team, and celebrated our graduating students as they walked out of the gym for the very last time as Beacon Hill students.

Most importantly, however, today was an opportunity to honour someone who has dedicated so much of her life to the students and families of our community: Mme Cousineau.

Après une carrière exceptionnelle consacrée à l’éducation, Mme Cousineau prend sa retraite en laissant derrière elle un héritage extraordinaire. Au fil des ans, elle a touché la vie de milliers d’enfants grâce à sa gentillesse, sa patience, son dévouement et son profond souci du bien-être de chaque élève.

Pour plusieurs générations d’élèves, elle a été bien plus qu’une enseignante. Elle a été une mentore, une source d’encouragement, une oreille attentive et une présence rassurante. Son influence se reflète dans les souvenirs qu’elle a créés, dans la confiance qu’elle a aidé à bâtir et dans les innombrables vies qu’elle a contribué à façonner.

Merci, Mme Cousineau, pour toutes les années de service, pour les sourires, les conseils, les mots d’encouragement et pour l’amour que vous avez toujours porté à notre communauté scolaire. Votre impact ne pourra jamais être mesuré pleinement, mais il continuera de vivre à travers tous les élèves que vous avez inspirés au fil des ans.

Nous vous souhaitons une retraite remplie de bonheur, de santé, de repos bien mérité et de nouvelles aventures. Vous laissez une marque indélébile à Beacon Hill et vous nous manquerez énormément.
