Today, the entire SAJ school community stood together in our orange shirts in honour of Phyllis Webstad, all the families affected by residential schools, and to say "Every Child Matters".
Ms. Donald began the conversation in the building and led us to a meaningful forest walk where we took a moment to connect to the land and the beauty of the forest from sight to sound.
A symbolic and age appropriate way in our steps towards Truth and Reconciliation.

🌳What better way to spend our morning in our very own forest guided by two amazing outdoor educators from Programme Coyotes, Julia and Bree.
We learned new games, interactive ways to get the children involved in learning all about nature and our forest, and making those important connections.
☀️A professional development where nature was the key element and focus of learning.

📣Stay tuned for more activities with the children guided by Programme Coyotes.
