The light is shifting. The shadows are growing longer. And in the studio, we're leaning into it!

Our theme this autumn is Light & Dark

I won't be telling your kiddos what to paint, sculpt, or build. But we'll be asking ourselves: What happens when dark meets light? Where does one end and the other begin?

The answers will be messy, surprising, and entirely their own. That's the point.

Are you ready for *another* season of beautiful messes?

Registration for our autumn process art & sensory play workshops for kids ages 3-12 opens on Saturday, August 15 at noon.

*Spring registration form is now working properly!*

If you tried to register your kiddo between Friday, March 1 at 8am and Saturday, March 2 at 3:30pm, your child is NOT yet registered. Blurg. I'm so sorry.

The form is now fixed. I promise that if you go to https://atelierspark.ca and fill it out one more time, it'll be worth it.

Thanks so much for your patience, y'all.

(And massive thanks to Kelly, the kind mama who not only notified me about the error, but also immediately registered her daughter ❤)

Swing into spring!

Go to https://atelierspark.ca now to register your kiddo for a weekly playgroup or workshop this spring!

We’re talking 10 weeks of unconventional art experiences that foster surprise, curiosity, new ways of thinking, and connection with other kids.

Atelier Spark uses accessible pricing. Please visit my website to find out what that means for your family.

Register for our spring session on Friday, March 1!

How will your child transform colours, shapes, everyday objects, ourselves, and even the world around us using clay, oobleck, Lego printmaking, and seed bombs? How much control do they have over these transformations? How far can their transformations go? Bring them to the studio this spring so we can find out!

Check your kiddo's calendar between the weeks of April 8 and June 10 to see if they can attend one of these workshops:

For 3 & 4 year olds + 1 loving adult
- Tuesdays, 9-10am
- Wednesdays, 9-10am
- Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30am

For 5-8 year olds (drop off)
- Tuesdays, 3;30-4:30pm
- Wednesdays, 3:30-4:30pm

For 9-11 year olds (drop off)
- Mondays, 3:30-4:30pm

If none of these are a good fit, please let me know. I'm open to creating additional workshops on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays if enough families are interested.

Register now for our creative workshops for 5-8 year olds!

Your kiddo will have some serious creative fun in my studio!

Tuesdays, Jan 16 - Mar 26
3:30-4:30pm
https://forms.gle/yLNJ1BEDakhwLawL8

Wednesdays, Jan 17 - Mar 27
3:30-4:30pm
https://forms.gle/jfqhSekUr8i74fMZA

Your kiddo will experience art making through their 8 senses – yup, there are 8 of them!

We'll create enormous pendulum snow paintings and spin art using our vestibular sense (our sense of balance) to guide us. Using our sense of touch, we'll make doodle weavings and do finger painting (I'll have alternative tools for kiddos with sensory issues). Of course there's more, but I don't want to give away all of my surprises!

And yes, our sensory/light/water table will be up and running too.
At the end of each workshop, we'll settle in on the polka dot rug to read a gorgeous picture book together.

_____

Heads up for this season:
- Space is limited to 6 kiddos per workshop (this ensures a manageable energy level in the room, and it means your child will have more opportunities for genuine connection with the other kiddos in the room).
- I'm using an accessible pricing model. Click on the links to find out what that means for you.
