It always helps me to see what TO say instead of what NOT to say.
EDIT: Well that certainly struck a nerve. No one is saying EVERYONE MUST SAY THESE ONLY AT ALL TIMES OR YOU WILL DIE. This chart has some suggestions for more positive ways to frame common phrases that can be more effective and help you connect to your child.
If you are upset by the suggestion that we might want to speak to children kindly, you may want to examine that. Comments that suggest hitting children will be deleted.

MASCOT MILLIE
For those of you who don't know, Millie is my families 15 year old cat that once belonged to a wonderful woman named Mildred Butler. Millie now helps me teach my daycare children how to touch gently, take turns, count( treats they give her) and how to follow the leader( mostly her to treat cupboard )
Plus, she's my spoiled baby😻
