Run a quick check on these key setup steps for your next pay run.

Set up your payroll items so wages and tax withholdings route to separate accounts automatically. Pay taxes using the Payroll Liabilities workflow in QuickBooks rather than entering them as standard manual expenses. Add team members correctly as Employees for T4s or Vendors for T4As before creating their first pay run. Finally, ensure your CPP and EI employer expenses are mapped properly in your Payroll Settings.
