What makes an artwork "public art?"
Public art is art designed for display in a public place, usually outside of the context of a museum or a gallery. Marlene Hilton Moore is a prominent Canadian artist, with public artworks featured at places like Vimy Ridge, Canadian Parliament, and even Springwater Township, not far from here!
"Moments to Monuments: The Public Art of Marlene Hilton Moore" opens this Thursday, February 12th, and will feature architectural drawings, site plans, detailed images, and casting artifacts from many of her public artworks. Don't miss this unique chance to experience some of her most standout works alongside a few never-seen-before designs!
