I am so excited to be heading into my 24th year as the owner/operator of Janet Kinsey Music Studio with thirty years+ combined teaching experience both as a music teacher and a regular classroom teacher.
Private piano lessons, private vocal lessons and group vocal lessons are offered in this encouraging, inclusive space. Students of all ages and abilities are welcomed and celebrated here. Each student’s musical journey is individualized to suit their own interests and needs.

Recital number 46 (!!) was a great success! And, no, I'm not THAT old but this year marks the 23rd anniversary of Janet Kinsey Music Studio and I'm still having a blast!
Private piano and vocal plus group vocal lessons are offered. Registrations for the fall will be happening over the next few weeks ~ call or email soon to save a spot and begin your musical journey with these fun, upbeat and personalized music lessons. 🎼🎵

This seems remarkably appropriate as tomorrow night is our December Melodies Christmas Recital. I am so excited to offer this opportunity for my students to shine by sharing the pieces they have been working on over the past while. Grace United Church, 7 pm, donations to the Little Pantry gratefully received at the door. Hope to see you there! This is a mask-friendly event :)

It was so lovely to see everyone again today as music lessons started back up online. I have such great piano and vocal students~wonderful, talented people who are such fun to hang out with. I’m looking forward to a great year ahead ! 🎼🎤

Zoom lessons have been going really well, my students have been working super hard honing their performance pieces, accompaniments have been completed and sent, vocal pre-recordings are happening, the programme is being set, there's excitement in the air! Must be Christmas Recital week! Merry Melodies happens this Friday Dec 4 at 7 pm and what a great way to welcome the Christmas season. Can't wait for all of us to be together again, albeit via Zoom, and for you all to share your talents with each other as well as family and friends far and wide. I am so looking forward to tomorrow and getting to re-connect with my students again (and meet a few new ones! ). New music, new games, new activities, new sound equipment, new teaching year~here we come!

Is it? Can it be? New music games and activities have been purchased, teaching schedule has been organized ( sort of...), teaching music online courses have been taken, new resources scoped out. Yep, it must be August and time to get ready for a new teaching year! Things resume the week of September 15th with individualized private piano and vocal lessons online. I'm so looking forward to re-connecting with my returning students and excited to welcome some new faces into our studio family. Enjoy the rest of your summer, everyone, and see you in September❤🎶.
