It's the Thanksgiving shuffle! At this time of year, a few spots come available with families changing times to accommodate other activities.
Here's what we have available starting after the long weekend.

Monday 400pm and 730pm piano with Tasi

Tuesday 730pm Drums, guitar, ukulele or bass with Jamie

Wednesday 800pm piano or vocal with Alondra

Thursday 800pm Drums, guitar, ukulele or bass with Jamie

Friday 600pm piano with Jane
Friday 700pm piano with Tasi

Saturday availability for everything but piano. (Vocals with Gillian or Drums, guitar, bass, ukulele with Aiden or Nathaniel).

Saturday Choir fall session starts this week. It's not too late to sign up. Ages 9-15 are welcome to join. We have performance opportunities throughout the fall.

This 12 week session will have these dates:

Sept 19th (Gillian is away Sep 26th)

Oct 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st (no choir thanksgiving weekend)

Nov 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

Dec 5th, 12th

Dec 19th we will keep as a makeup date if needed.

Cost will be $180 for the full fall session (=$15 per 60 minute session).

Meet Wren Rowen (vocals & piano), Jamie Taylor (drums, bass, guitar, ukulele) and Liam McClure (Saxophone).

Stand out performance Dylan and Emmy (brother and sister combo!)

We love when siblings jam together. Something special about that family bond (Bob and his own sister 🖤Mandy Cole🖤 🪶 - Singer-Songwriter share this musical bond themselves).

Dylan and Emmy have been with us for about a year and a half now and their musicianship is starting to show already. Emmy is locked in to that pocket and Dylan is following the rhythm brilliantly. It seems so natural, almost like they've been doing it their whole lives.

Can't wait to see where these two take us at the December concert.

Standout Performance: Zach!!

Zach always seems to impress. His focus and determination, combined with an ambitious level of difficulty (Tool! Black Sabbath!) always makes for a special performance. You can see the confidence from hours of dedicated practice and patient instruction.

Always love watching Zach nail those super complex fills. He is an especially talented kid.

Stand out performance: Aiden's jam band!!

Emma on drums
Riley on bass
Diego on rhythm guitar
Jack on lead guitar (Grade 8!)

Joined by instructors Aiden (backup guitar) and Kenny (vocals)

These kids absolutely slayed this song with 13 year old Jack going full Slash mode on the solo.

Amazing performance by these kids.

Stand out performance: The Pluim-Simon brothers!
Emmett and Isaac have been staples of the Modern Music community since we opened our doors in 2021. Now they rock the stage like true pros, with Isaac holding down that shuffle beat (not easy!) Emmett confidently moving those chords tight to the beat. This is such a fun song and they nailed it!
