❓September Starts Next Week... Are You Ready❓
It's hard to believe August is almost over. 🍂 Before long, classrooms will be full again, workplaces will settle back into their regular routines, and calendars will quickly begin to fill.
For many people, September feels like a fresh start.
It's a chance to build new habits, set new goals, and prepare for the months ahead.
One of those preparations might be updating your first aid or CPR certification or learning these skills for the very first time.
Whether you're starting a new job, returning to school, welcoming new staff, or simply wanting to feel more confident around your family and community, now is a great time to invest in skills that stay with you long after the course ends.
👉The best part? You're not just learning for yourself.
You're preparing to help someone else on one of the worst days of their life.
That's a responsibility worth feeling confident about.

When Was the Last Time You Reviewed Your Emergency Plan?
🏢 Emergency preparedness doesn't begin when something goes wrong.
It begins with the conversations and planning that happen long before an emergency ever occurs.
Ask yourself:
✔️ Does everyone know who calls 9-1-1?
✔️ Is your first aid kit easy to find?
✔️ Do staff know where your AED is located?
✔️ Has your emergency action plan been reviewed recently?
✔️ Would a new employee know what to do on their first day?
These aren't questions to create worry. They're opportunities to build confidence.
One of the things we enjoy most about workplace training is seeing teams work through realistic scenarios together.
It sparks conversations, identifies opportunities for improvement, and helps employees feel more confident in their roles.
Prepared workplaces aren't built overnight.
They're built one conversation, one drill, and one training session at a time.
As fall approaches, now is a great opportunity to review your emergency plans and ensure your team feels ready for whatever comes their way.
What's one thing every workplace should review before the busy fall season?

☀️ Summer adventures are meant to be enjoyed, not interrupted by heat illness.
Whether you're working outdoors, coaching a soccer game, hiking local trails, or spending the afternoon at the beach, hot weather can affect anyone.
One of the best ways to reduce the risk? Start preparing before you feel thirsty or overheated.
A few simple habits can make a big difference:
💧 Drink water regularly throughout the day.
🧢 Wear lightweight clothing and seek shade when possible.
⏸️ Take breaks during strenuous activity.
👀 Watch for signs like dizziness, headache, nausea, excessive sweating, or unusual fatigue.
Knowing how to recognize the early warning signs allows you to act before a situation becomes more serious. Preparedness isn't only for major emergencies.
Sometimes it's the small, everyday decisions that help keep ourselves, our families, and our coworkers safe. We hope you're making the most of summer and staying safe while doing it.

🎓 Every certificate tells a story.
Behind every completed course is someone who took the time to learn something that could one day help another person.
✔A new teacher preparing for the school year.
✔A parent wanting to feel more confident at home.
✔A healthcare professional sharpening their skills.
✔A construction crew investing in workplace safety.
✔A student preparing for their first job.
While certificates are important, they're never the part we're most proud of.
😃We're proud of the conversations that happen during class.
😃The questions participants feel comfortable asking.
😃The encouragement classmates give one another.
😃The moment someone realizes, "I can actually do this."
That's what we hope every participant takes home.
Not just a certification, but confidence.
Thank you to every individual and workplace that has trusted us with their training.
You're helping build a stronger, safer community, one course at a time.
If you've trained with us before, we'd love to hear your favourite memory from class or one thing that surprised you about your training experience.

🤔 Imagine you're at the park with your family.
Children are laughing.
Parents are chatting.
Everything feels completely normal.
Then suddenly, someone nearby calls for help.
👉A child has fallen awkwardly from the playground equipment.
People begin gathering around.
Some freeze.
Some aren't sure what to do.
Others immediately call 9-1-1.
Moments like these remind us that emergencies can happen when you lease expect.
The good news ❓ You don't have to know everything.
You simply need to know where to start.
📣That's exactly what first aid training teaches.
✔ From keeping yourself safe to
✔ assessing the scene,
✔ providing reassurance, and
✔ knowing when and how to act, confidence grows through practice.
💬 Here's our question for you:
If you were first on the scene, what's the very first thing you would do?
We'd love to hear your answers in the comments.

🍎 New backpacks. Fresh notebooks. Excited students.
As another school year approaches, it's easy to focus on lesson plans, classroom setup, and school supply lists.
But there's another type of preparation that's just as important. Being ready to help when someone suddenly needs you.
Whether it's a child who begins choking during snack time, a playground fall, a severe allergic reaction, or recognizing the early signs of a medical emergency, first aid and CPR training gives educators the confidence to respond while help is on the way.
One of the things we hear most often from participants is that they leave feeling more capable—not because they memorized every page of a manual, but because they practiced real-life situations in a supportive environment.
That's exactly how we believe first aid training should feel.
If you work in education or childcare, thank you for the incredible role you play every day. Helping create safe learning environments starts long before the first student walks through the door.
🎉 As part of our Back-to-School season, childcare professionals can save 20% on eligible training using code TINY20.
Let's help make this school year a confident one.
✏ Tag a teacher, childcare provider, or educational assistant who helps make classrooms safer every day.
