Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day and I am always impressed by the traditions and beliefs they hold about the importance of women and their contributions to their communities.

If you have never thought of yourself in these ways, I encourage you to take some time today to consider these traditions and in what ways you may not have recognized and cherished yourself as a "fully realized woman" 💛

Today is Red Dress Day.

Did you know that Indigenous women and girls are 12 times more likely to be murdered or go missing than any other group in Canada?

A recent Statistics Canada report said 63 per cent of Indigenous women have experienced violence and nearly half have experienced sexual assault.

I pray for these women and girls.
I pray for the families who are grieving these losses.
I pray that this violence will become a thing of the past.
I pray that ALL people will be safe, cherished and thrive.
Amen. 🙏

Having learned to be comfortable in FLOW and open to inspiration as it arises, I know that things unfold in divine timing.

It is a common characteristic of almost every human being that we spend most of our days focusing on what happened in the past or what we think the future will hold.

When we do this, we miss out on what is actually happening right now.

As the old saying goes, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift ... that's why it's called the present."

Don't waste your present moments stuck in what is in the past, and cannot be changed, or obsessed with what might happen in the future.
