JOB OPENING
We have been so busy we need another boot tech. No experience required you will be trained on the job.
What is required is an understanding of basic skiing biomechanics as well as capable use of a variety of tools and machinery. There will be an intensive training process. It is an opportunity to learn how the mechanics of a ski boot intrinsically relate to ski performance.

Work is generally in the evenings and some day shifts. This position is for a boot technician to assist elite level custom boot work. Our clientele includes national, provincial and elite level ski racers, high end ski instructors and recreational skiers with severe foot and alignment issues and those looking for the very best in ski boot alignment. We do not sell boots, we are exclusively elite level boot services and offer independent, unbiased consultation for those looking to find the right boot. This often includes ski pros with access to pro deals but are wanting to know the right boot for them.

Desired skills would be mechanical problem solving, excellent customer communication and relations, a strong arm to use a boot press and a love of skiing.

The role is for a technician in the workshop area. Diagnosis and assessment of feet will not be required but can be introduced to willing applicants.

This job would perfectly suit a level 2 or 3 ski instructor at Sunshine or Norquay or a race coach looking for some extra income in the evenings and on days off. .We will work around your on hill commitments.

October and November are our busiest months with our race clientele but work is consistent until April and the end of level 3 and 4 exams. However, we are looking for a commitment to the end of the season on a part time basis.

This is a unique operation dealing with very elite level skiers. Our workshop is based in the Banff Industrial Compound.
