"And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen."
(Ether 12:41)
Banff Branch Missionary Memories
This page began when we served as full-time missionaries for The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints in the Canada Calgary Mission.
We now use it to keep in touch with Canadian friends and to continue to invite others to come unto Christ.

Thinking of our dear friend Connie who is being baptized today in Cochrane, Alberta Canada!
We met her four years ago while Sister Jarvis and I were serving in the Banff Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Much love Connie on this most special day.
So grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its saving ordinances.
Thankful for the many branch members and full-time and service missionaries who have embraced Connie and her new born son.

Messages for Missionaries
“That is our doctrine—a doctrine of inclusion. That is what we believe. That is what we have been taught. Of all people on this earth, we should be the most loving, the kindest, and the most tolerant because of that doctrine. . . . May I suggest three simple things we can do to avoid making others in our neighborhoods feel excluded?
First, get to know your neighbors. Learn about their families, their work, their views. Get together with them, if they are willing, and do so without being pushy and without any ulterior motives. Friendship should never be offered as a means to an end; it can and should be an end unto itself. In other words, we should be friends with those not of our faith because it is simply the right thing to do! Let the baptisms take care of themselves.”
—President M. Russell Ballard

When Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden of Eden, they were commanded to offer animal sacrifice upon an altar in similitude of the coming atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ...
What did these ancient altars look like? What were these ancient altars for?
The Altar-Then and Now Part 1-The Ancient Altar Though counseled to “stand in holy places,” in the most holy of places, we kneel.

Days never to be forgotten--sharing the gospel of love in the Canadian Rockies!
"We need your help, brothers and sisters, to support and assist our missionaries in finding and baptizing many more of our Heavenly Father’s children. We need you to watch over, protect, and inspire the missionaries, who are servants of the Lord. If the standard is to be raised, it is raised for all of us. We must be more faithful. We must be more spiritually in tune. We must prepare ourselves to assist the missionaries in finding those of our Heavenly Father’s children who will embrace the message of the Restoration."
"Remember, brothers and sisters, we’re not marketing a product. We’re not selling anything. We’re not trying to impress anyone with our numbers or our growth. We are members of the restored Church of Jesus Christ, empowered and sent forth by the Lord Himself to find, nourish, and bring safely into His Church those who are seeking to know the truth."

Addressing the world-wide pandemic during the priesthood session of General Conference, President Russell M. Nelson said,
"Amid the losses we have experienced, there are also some things we have found. Some have found deeper faith in our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Many have found a fresh perspective on life—even an eternal perspective. You may have found stronger relationships with your loved ones and with the Lord. I hope you have found an increased ability to hear Him and receive personal revelation. Difficult trials often provide opportunities to grow that would not have come in any other way."
I invite you to read my article on https://ca.churchofjesuschrist.org/ about how the pandemic affected missionary work in general and for two Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missionaries--one serving in Alberta, Canada and the other in Ventura, California
"...the ultimate challenge of character came when COVID-19 hit Canada, and many missionaries were sent home...”

Through the Prophet of the Restoration, Joseph Smith, the Lord told early organizers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that those who receive the Book of Mormon in faith, shall receive a crown of eternal life. (see D&C 20:14)
