🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡

Today, our Dorset community came together to honour the children who never made it home, remember the survivors of residential schools, and recognize the lasting impact on Indigenous families and communities.

We began with a meaningful Orange Shirt Day assembly, taking time to listen, learn, reflect, and remind ourselves that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and loved.

We then came together for a community walk, wearing orange and walking side by side in remembrance and solidarity. 🧡

Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community members for helping us honour the children and keep their stories and voices in our hearts.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡

On September 30, we invite every Dorset student and staff member to wear orange as we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Wearing orange is a meaningful way to show our respect, support, and commitment to reconciliation, while honouring the children who never returned home, Survivors, their families, and Indigenous communities.

Let’s fill Dorset with orange and take time to listen, learn, remember, and reflect. 🧡

🥏🔥 Game On, Cycle 3! 🔥🥏

Our Cycle 3 students took to the field for an exciting Ultimate Frisbee Tournament! They showed incredible teamwork, sportsmanship, determination, and school spirit throughout the day.

We are so proud of the way our students supported one another, competed with enthusiasm, and represented Dorset!

Big thank you to Mr. Murray for preparing our students and to our parent volunteers- we couldn’t have done it without you!

Way to go, Cycle 3! 💪🥏👏

🎉 Our first assembly of the school year was one to remember! 🎉

Last Friday, we kicked things off by celebrating kindness and filling the bucket of someone who does so much for our Dorset community—our wonderful secretary, Ms. Lindsay! 💖

Thank you, Ms. Lindsay, for everything you do to keep Dorset running smoothly and for always being there with a smile. We are so lucky to have you! 🥰

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead filled with kindness, community, and plenty of full buckets! 💙✨
