We are a couple from Minnesota trying to provide quality, fresh fish and seafood during the summer months in Baddeck, NS, Canada.
We have called this beautiful spot of the earth home during our off time (we both work in the US school system) since 2004. We saw a need for this service and decided to give it a try in 2011.
The Kissing Cod Seafood Market is closed for 2016. Thanks to EVERYONE for a great 2016 season!!🐟🦂🦀

Happy 6th Birthday to Felix. He loves oysters and looks great in his hat. He celebrated his birthday with 2 delicious Mabou Oysters on the house, at the Kissing Cod Seafood Market. Way to go Felix! 🎂👍

This is a very special photograph that was taken with a Gal from Fort Myers Florida who came into the shop and saw the Twins posters and told me that she was a survivor of what I would assume to be cancer. She said the Minnesota Twins gave $175,000 towards the hospital care that was given at this certain facility for healthcare and when she saw that we were from Minnesota and, also noticed my Twins shrine; she asked if I would take a picture with her to honor our Minnesota Twins!! I was brought to tears...go figure!!

We have a couple fresh Arctic Char ready to go on your barbecue. Pepper, stuff with onion and fresh lemons, wrap in foil and grill. Done. Delicious.

We are open today 11-6pm, with fresh seafood, ready for the frying pan or on the grill, mussels, lobsters, and sandwiches, and more.

Sometimes times when you are at work and you day hasn't started so well, someone walks through the door and blesses your socks off.
Today and wonderful woman shared a basket full of German chocolate bars and German dark coffee. Blessing #1
10 minutes later another couple comes in with a pint jar of canned clams. We shared a chocolate bar with them. Blessing #2
Our day was a good day, thanks to everyone who walked into the Kissing Cod
